Dear Burnett Community,
"Thank you" will never be adequate to express the depth of my gratitude for you all and for the love and generosity you have shown me this past week. But - I'd still like to say thank you anyway 😊
Thank you for my surprise going away party on Monday! What an absolute joy that afternoon was! My cheeks hurt from smiling so much. Thank you for your kind words and hugs and thoughtful gifts and cards. Thank you for the delicious food (my fiancé say thank you too....that was dinner for two nights!)! What a treat to be surrounded by such love and joy!
Thank you for the emails, photos, letters, flowers, gifts, cards, hugs, well wishes, and love on Tuesday! I feel truly blessed to have been part of a community with such heart.
**A special note to those of you who generously shared cards and gifts: I very carefully and thoroughly noted every card and gift I received so that I could send out thank you notes this summer - it's important to me to show you how much I appreciate your generosity and kindness! AND - in the chaos of packing and moving today, that list has since disappeared! 😫😫😫 So I won't be able to send those personalized thank you notes I hoped to send. But please know that I am deeply, deeply grateful for your thoughtfulness and generosity and plan on enjoying all of those gifts! I'm so sorry I won't be able to send the thank you notes, though!**
Finally, thank you again for sharing your children, your families, and your lives with me over the last 8 years. What a gift it has been. I wish you all a wonderful and relaxing summer and beautiful lives beyond this summer. Know that I'll always hold you and Burnett in my heart and that I'll be forever grateful for the years I spent here. Once a Bulldog, Always a Bulldog. 💙💛
